On the 14th of February, thirty high school girls from all over Switzerland visited D-CHAB to experience a day full of experiments, lectures and discussion rounds to get an insight into everyday life of a (female) scientist. Sabrina, not only representing the Bezdek Group but also the co-host WiNS, joined an informal panel discussion with several PhD students from different groups, discussing the various applications chemistry can have in everyday life. After an introduction to the topic of environmental pollutant sensing and its importance for slowing down climate change, the high school students got the chance to ask questions, not only science-related, but also on the experience as a woman in STEM.
